And the important questions here:
1 – Is Jesus, the Christ (PBUH) cursed (rejected from Allah's mercy)?
2 – Is there a cursed God?
3 – How come people worship a cursed God?!
It's mentioned in Deuteronomy 21:22-23:
22 “And if a man has committed a crime punishable by death and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree, 23 his body shall not remain all night on the tree, but you shall bury him the same day, for a hanged man is cursed by God. You shall not defile your land that the LORD your God is giving you for an inheritance.
The important question now: It's known that he who is hanged on a tree, should be a cursed criminal , so according to the Bible, what's Jesus, the Christ's sin?
I say: We, Muslims, neither believe in the crucifixion of Jesus, the Christ (PBUH), nor his being cursed by Lord. Rather, we believe that he (PBUH) is a noble prophet, as Allah, the Almighty, says in the Quran: {And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain (157) Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise (158)} (The Women: 157-158).
Important Note: There are many verses in the Bible that oppose the creed of the inheritance of the original sin, and they're mentioned in the following:
1 - Deuteronomy 24:16:
16 “Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin.
2 – Proverbs 21:18:
The wicked is a ransom for the righteous,
and the traitor for the upright.
I have a question here: Was Jesus, the Christ (PBUH) from the wicked, and the sinful humans from the righteous?!
3 – 2 Chronicles 7:14:
14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
I have a question here: Isn't this Allah's reasonable rule, and proves Allah's justice? So why is crucifixion and redemption?
4 – Genesis 3:21:
21 And the LORD God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them
I have a question here: Did the lord made those garments by Himself? Isn't that a proof for the Lord's remission for them? Then the greatest surprise for the objectors is that Jesus, the Christ (PBUH) clarifies that good deeds makes people enter the kingdom of God. This is mentioned in Luke 18:18-24:
18 And a ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 19 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone. 20 You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother.’” 21 And he said, “All these I have kept from my youth.” 22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” 23 But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich. 24 Jesus, seeing that he had become sad, said, “How difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!
2 – Matthew19:16:
16 And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” 17 And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.” 18 He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, 19 Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 20 The young man said to him, “All these I have kept. What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” 22 When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
Notice in the previous text: Jesus, the Christ (PBUH) didn't ask the man saying: "Do you believe in redemption and crucifixion?". Rather, he (PBUH) said: Believe that "there's only one who is good", which means that Allah, the Almighty, is the only God, then keep the commandments, and make good deeds.
Finally, I remind the reader with Allah's words: "Rather, they have denied that which they encompass not in knowledge and whose interpretation has not yet come to them. Thus did those before them deny. Then observe how was the end of the wrongdoers} (Jonah:39).
