The Message Of Islam

Books reply suspicions about Islam

Abdurrahman al-Sheha | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 197 | Size: 2 MB
The Message Of Islam: islam is the religion which agrees with the natural disposition of man. It urges Muslims and calls them to ask about things that are incomprehensible to them, through the consultation of competent and knowledgeable authorities. In islam there are no obscure or mysterious things; it allows us to ask about everything. By nature, humans have many questions in their minds that require logical and clear answers, and the Qur’an provides such answers.

-

Some of these basic queries are as follows:

A. What is the origin of humanity? The answer to this can be found in the words of Allah:
{And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay. Thereafter We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest firmly fixed. Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (fetus) lump; then We made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then We developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators.} [23:12-14]

B. What is the status of rank of humans in the universe? Allah (SWT) says:
{And indeed We have honored the children of Adam, and We have carried them on land and sea and have provided them with good and pure things, and have preferred them above many of those whom We have created with a marked preference.} [17:70]

C. Why did Allah create humans? Allah (SWT) says:
{And I (God) have only created the Jinn4and humanity that they may worship Me (alone). No sustenance do I require of them nor do I require that they should feed Me. Indeed Allah is the only Giver of (all) sustenance, Lord of Power, the Most Strong.} [51:56-8]

He (SWT) also says:
{Did you then think that We had created you in jest and that you would not be brought back to us (for account)? So Exalted is God, the True King: There is none who is worshipped in truth but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honor!} [23:115-6]

D. Who is the Creator? He is the only One worthy of being worshipped…God (SWT) says:
{He is Allah, other than whom there is no God, Knower of the unseen and seen. He is the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent. He is Allah, other than whom there is no God, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, and the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. He is Allah the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.} [59:22-24]

The Status Of Jesus In Islam

By Dr. Rabee’ Ibn Haadee Al-Madkhalee | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 31 | Size: 1 MB
In this brief treatise, the author sets out to clarify Islam’s true position towards Jesus, which is the middle course between two extremes. At one extreme there are those who believe that Jesus is God, the Son of God or part of a divine trinity while on the other extreme there are others who slander him and deny his message.

The correct belief regarding Jesus as confirmed in the Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad’s teachings is that he was no more than a prophet and messenger of God sent with the same message as all the prophets before him such as Moses, Abraham and Noah. That message was to worship God alone and avoid false deities. This is the one true unwavering message of the Creator to His creation throughout the course of time, and it is the same message that Jesus brought to his people and which Muhammad brought to his people after him.

We hope that this short treatise will serve as an invitation to Christians to reflect on the beauty and simplicity of Islam, which has taken a moderate stance towards Jesus, assigning him a lofty role as one of the foremost messengers of God.

About the Author:

Dr. Rabee’ Ibn Haadee Al-Madkhalee is one of the well-known scholars of Saudi Arabia. He is a former graduate and professor at the renowned Islamic University of Madeenah. He has authored numerous books and treatises about Islam which clarify misconceptions and false notions concerning it.

The Search For The Truth

Dr. Saleh as-Saleh | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 33 | Size: 1.5 MB

The Search For The Truth: Today, many people are curious about Islam, but their knowledge about this faith may vary. Their knowledge may have been gained from an article, a book, or part of a religious text book at high school they may have read. They may have known some Muslims, passed by a Mosque, watched a documentary or the evening news, or they might have traveled to a Muslim country. To some, Islam is ‘just another religion’, but for many others, it has become something ‘interesting’ to ‘look’ at.

Islam Is…: An Introduction To Islam & Its Principles

Al-Haramain Foundation | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 60 | Size: 1 MB

The Arabic word Islam literally means ‘surrender’ or ‘submission.’ Islam, as a faith, means total and sincere surrender to God so that one can live in peace and tranquility. Peace (Salam in Arabic, Shalom in Hebrew) is achieved through active obedience to the revealed commandments of God, for God is The Just, The Peace. The name Islam is universal in meaning. Islam is not named after a tribe of people or an individual, as Judaism is named after the tribe of Judah, Christianity after Christ and Buddhism after Buddha. Islam is not a name chosen by human beings; it was divinely communicated from God. Islam is a global faith, not of the East or the West. Islam is a complete way of life, implying total submission to God. One who surrenders his or her will to God, voluntarily, is called a Muslim. It was not Muhammad (SAW) but Adam (S.A) who first brought Islam to humanity. Then, each Prophet and Messenger came to exhort the people to a clear understanding of God’s commandments. They offered teachings relevant to that time, until God chose the final Prophet, Muhammad (SAW), to come with the Last Testament referred to as the Qur’an. Allah is an Arabic word, meaning ‘The One and Only True Deity’, the proper name of The One who created the heavens and the earth. Arabic-speaking Jews and Christians also call God by the name Allah. For a Muslim, Allah is the greatest and most inclusive of names for God, denoting The One who is adored in worship, The One who created all that exists.

Defence Of The Muslim Lands

Shaykh Abdullah Azzam | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 55 | Size: 1 MB
‘Defence of the Muslim Lands’ has become a classical Islamic text studying the legal implications of when and under what conditions Jihad is permitted under the Shariah. Dr. Abdullah Azzam discusses many critical questions relating to the types of Jihad, the conditions under which Jihad becomes an obligation upon all Muslims, parents permission, fighting in the absence of the Islamic State and peace treaties with the enemy. This new edition contains over 150 footnotes and a ’scholars base’ which give brief details of each of the fifty or so scholars mentioned in the text.

-

Time Magazine described Shaykh Abdullah Azzam as the man who wasthe ‘ reviver of Jihad in the 20th Century’. Abdullah Yusuf Azzam was born in the village of Ass-ba’ah Al-Hartiyeh, province of Jineen in the occupied sacred land of Palestine in 1941 CE. He was brought up in a humble house where he was taught Islam, and was fed with the love of Allah, His Messenger (saw), those striving in the Way of Allah, the righteous people and the desire for the Hereafter. Sheikh Abdullah Azzam was one of the first Arabs to join the Afghan Jihad against the communist USSRIn 1979, when he learned about the Afghan Jihad, he left his teaching position at King Abdul-Aziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and went to Islamabad, Pakistan, in order to be able to participate in the Jihad. He was a fine example of Islamic manners, in his piety, his devotion to Allah and his modesty in all things. He would never adulate in his relations with others. Shaykh Azzam always listened to the youth, he was dignified and did not allow fear to have access to his brave heart. He practised continual fasting especially the alternate daily fasting routine of Prophet Dawud (as). He strongly counselled others to practice fasting on Mondays and Thursdays. The Shaykh was a man of uprightness, honesty and virtue, and was never heard to slander others or to talk unpleaasently about an individual Muslim. On 24 November 1989. The enemies of Allah planted three bombs on a road so narrow only a single car could travel on it. It was the road Shaykh Abdullah Azzam would use to drive to the Friday Prayer. That Friday, the Shaykh together with two of his own sons, Ibrahim and Muhammad, and with one of the sons of the late Shaykh Tameem Adnani drove along the road. The car stopped at the position of the first bomb, and the Sheikh alighted to walk the remainder of the way. The enemies, lying in wait, then exploded the bomb. A loud explosion and a great thundering were heard all over the city. People emerged from the mosque, and beheld a terrible scene. Only a small fragment of the car remained. The young son Ibrahim flew 100 metres into the air; the other two youths were thrown a similar distance away, and their remains were scattered among the trees and power lines. As for Shaykh Abdullah Azzam himself, his body was found resting against a wall, totally intact and not at all disfigured, except that some blood was seen issuing from his mouth. Sheikh Abdullah Azzam himself once said, ” Indeed Islamic history is not written except with the blood of the Shuhadaa’, except with the stories of the Shuhadaa’ and except with the examples of the Shuhadaa’. ” May Allah (swt) accept him amongst them.

1) Who is the Creator?

(40 : 64)
Allah, it is he Who has made for you the earth as a dwelling place and
the sky as a canopy . and has given you shape and made your shapes
good (looking) and has provided you with good things. That is Allah,
your Lord : so Blessed be Allah, the Lord of the Alamin (mankind,
jinn and all that exists).

(39 : 6)
He created you (all) from a single person (Adam) ; then made from
him his wife {Hawwa , (Eve)} . and He has sent down for you of cattle
eight pairs (of the sheep , two , male and female ; of the goats , two ,
male and female of the oxen , two , male and female and of the camels,
two, male and female) . He creates you in the wombs of your mothers :
creation after creation in there veils of darkness. Such is Allah your
Lord His is the Kingdom . La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be
worshipped but He). How then are you turned away ?

(7 : 54)
Indeed your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in
six days, and then He rose over (Istawa) the Throne (really in manner
that suits His Majesty) . He brings the night as a cover over the day,
seeking it rapidly , and (He created) the sun, the moon, the stars
subjected to His Command. Surely, His is the Creation and
Commandment. Blessed is Allah, the Lord of the Alamin (mankind,
jinn and all that exists)!

(10 : 32)
Such is Allah, your Lord in truth. So after the truth, what else can
there be, save error ? How then are you turned away ?

19) What did Allah prepare for those among
the Jews and Christians who believe ?

(57 : 28)
O you who believe (in Musa (moses) (i.e. Jews) and Isa (Jesus) (i.e.
Christians)! Fear Allah, and believe in His Messenger (Muhammad PBUH),
He will give you a double portion of His Mercy, and He will give you a
light by which you shall walk (straight). And He will forgive you. And
Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

22) Was Jesus crucified and died on the
cross ?

(4 : 157 – 158)
157 : And because of their saying (in boast), “We killed Messiah Isa
(Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah,” – But they
killed him not, nor crucified him, but they resemblance of Isa (Jesus)
was put over another man (and they Killed that man), and those who
differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge,
they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not (i.e.
Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) .(عليهما السلام
158 : But Allah raised him (Isa (Jesus) up (with his body and soul)
unto Himself (and عليه السلام is in the heavens). And Allah is Ever All-
Powerful All-Wise.

Why Islam: Proofs Of Modern Science

http://conversion2islam.files.wordpr...rn-science.jpg

Nabil Abdel-Salam Haroun | Language: English | Format: PDF| Pages: 50 | Size: 2 MB
Why should an intellectual embrace Islam? We shall try to prove herein that the truth and perfect of the Qur’an, revealed between the years 611 and 632 A.C could not have possible been the work of Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him), the Prophet of Islam (Peace be Upon Him), nor of any human being in history. It could only have been an outside revelation of Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) from a most knowledgeable super-natural source. The role of the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) did not exceed that of an honest Messenger, as well as a human model for all mankind. Our approach will be both scientific and historical. We shall repeatedly underline certain verses of the Qur’an that have stated or pointed to some modern scientific facts and concepts, in unequivocally precise terms. Such facts and concepts were beyond the reach of human knowledge at the time of revelation and for centuries thereafter. This establishes beyond doubt that the source of Qur’an is: Superior to mankind, Absolutely Knowledgeable, and Most Truthful.

The Hijab Why

Muhammad Bin Ahmad Bin Ismail AL-Mokadam | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 55 | Size: 1 MB
The Hijab Why??!!: This book list the virtues of a critical aspect of this protection: the HIJAB. The characteristics of the Hijab are discussed, bringing the glad tidings promised (by Allah) to those women adhering to it. It also points out the danger of dazzling displays of ornaments and beauty as well as the terrible repercussions in this life and in the hereafter for those who practice Tabar’roj.

-

Introduction:

Extraordinary consideration has been given by the Islamic Law to women’s affairs. Such consideration is sufficient to protect her chastity, to honor her and to secure her position in life. The “restrictions” placed upon her regarding her dress and the display of her beauty and ornament is only to guard against all ways of corruption arising from such dazzling displays. What Islam has established is not a restriction on the freedom of women but is a firm protection for her from falling down to the lowest levels of humility.

In this work, we mention the virtues of a critical aspect of this protection: the HIJAB. The characteristics of the Hijab are discussed, bringing the glad tidings promised (by Allah) to those women adhering to it. We also point out the danger of dazzling displays of ornaments and beauty as well as the terrible repercussions in this life and in the hereafter for those who practice Tabar’roj.

This is the second edition of this book. It comes at a time when more women are throwing away their revealing clothes, and wearing the Hijab. It goes to print when Muslim women are being raped and tom in their Hijabs in “civilized” Europe(2)! and when France(3) prevents Muslim women from wearing the Hijab at school. These are times of trials for Muslims and particularly for Muslim women. We all have to remember the path of the Prophets: endurance, patience, holding on, and aiming high by keeping the way of Allah above everything.

-

Allah (SWT) Says:

“O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) over their bodies (when outdoors). That is most convenient that they should be known and not molested.”

(Noble Qur’an 33:59)

For Whom Am I Writing this Essay?

My brothers and sisters everywhere! With this essay, I am not singling out the adherents of Islam—to which I ascribe—but rather I am writing this essay to every man and woman throughout the whole world. I ask Allah that He facilitates that this essay reaches every ear, falls under the sight of every eye, and is understood by every heart. By Allah, I have written this essay sincerely. I do not seek from anyone reward or praise. I only seek to convey to all my brethren in humanity, irrespective of their races or religions, an aspect of the great message that Muhammad the son of ‘Abdullah, Allah’s final messenger to all the peoples of the earth, was sent with.

Specifically, I have chosen to explain the wisdom behind those laws that Allah has legislated regarding women. As contingent upon these laws, an individual’s bliss on earth is gained and his humanity is achieved. Moreover, these Islamic regulations pertaining to women have been singled out for attack by the enemies of humanity, who seek to follow their desires and who are short-sighted. Rather, they have put an end to a person’s
bliss on earth and exchanged that with misery and a wretched life. They have attacked these Divine regulations, so that they may turn humanity away from Allah’s true religion, His straight path, and bliss in this world and the next – toward which the final Messenger of all Divine messages came to give glad tidings and to invite all humanity to receive.

Muhammad the son of ‘Abdullah is Allah’s Prophet and the Final Messenger Sent by Allah to the Inhabitants of Earth.
You should know that the Messenger, Muhammad the son of ‘Abdullah (may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him) is Allah’s Messenger in reality and truth. The evidences that show his veracity are abundant. None but an infidel, who out of arrogance alone, could deny these signs.

Islam Is The Religion Of Peace

Abdur-Rahman Abdul-Kareem Al-Sheha | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 122 | Size: 1.5 MB
“Terrorism” is of two kinds: terrorism that is evil based upon wicked tyrannical acts, and terrorism that is good and desired based on necessary and justified acts. The terrorism that is evil is injustice, double standards, tyranny, and aggression, in all the hateful connotations that these words imply. It targets women and children, civilians and noncombatants, trying to force defeat and difficult political decisions by spreading terror. This kind is what most people immediately think about when hearing the word terrorism. Often people associate it with what they have been preconditioned to picture by various government agencies and segments of the mass media. Muslims are routinely portrayed as terrorists even though many are either totally innocent of the charge or are more innocent than many of their antagonists who aggress against them. “Muslim terrorism” is a media and think tank byword, even though one would be hard pressed to find the equivalent term of Jewish, Christian, Hindu or Buddhist terrorism in usage. Certain institutions and individuals – with known agendas and backings – have been instrumental in fabricating and perpetuating misinformation, exaggeration, and previously disqualified and refuted misunderstandings and slanders.
